Catapult MC-83 was used to launch the Target Drone 82 (Radioplane BTT)

The catapult was powered by pressurised nitrogen, with an operating pressure of 38 bar

The piston of the master cylinder gave the drone its initial speed over the distance of 11 metres through a wire

The speed of the drone at the nose of the catapult was 160 km/h

A new launch could be made in about 15 minutes
