Super Fledermaus
A Swiss-made automatic fire control unit with AFR 150 fire control radar and Contraves D VII TT calculator. Used in Finland as a fire control device for an automatic AA artillery section to control two Oerlikon 35 mm double-barreled automatic anti-aircraft cannons (35 ItK/58 Oerlikon).
The first Super Fledermaus devices arrived in Finland in 1964. The equipment you see here is from around 1980. It was a secondhand purchase from Switzerland. At that time, the number of fire control devices was increased so that each Oerlikon cannon had its own fire control unit. The manuals for the original series of devices were in Finnish.
The equipment included an optical target acquisition device and a control box for controlling the fire of unmanned cannons.
