The fire control centre works together with a fire control radar

The personnel in the fire control centre includes:

– an air defence officer

– a missile officer, and

– two guidance operators

The fire control centre

• sets up target and missile tracking
• calculates the firing moment
• calculates and transmits control commands to the missile
• activates the missile’s proximity fuze shortly before the hit
