ANTI-AIRCRAFT MISSILE SYSTEM 96 BUK-M1 TRANSPORTER-LOADER VEHICLE (TLV)
TASK AS A PART OF THE SYSTEM
The transporter-loader vehicle is intended for missile transportation and loading-unloading operations
In emergency situations or for when extra firepower is needed, it can be coupled with a SPL unit, which can use it as an extra launch pad, guided from the SPL control system
It does not, however, have an independent firing, searching or target acquiring capability
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
– 4-stroke supercharged diesel engine with intercooler
– power 325 hp
– tyres with safety filling
– lifting crane system maximum load is 5000kg / 5 tons
– crane maximum reach is 9,3 m and maximum raise is 11,4 m
– the system can carry 4 missiles on the launch-racks
– 4 more missiles can be carried in transport-racks
– loading a SPL unit from TLV takes 20 minutes
Time of readiness for combat from march is 5 minutes
Crew 3 persons
Mass with all 8 missiles in place 35 tons
