AZP S-60 Autocannon
ANTI-AIRCRAFT CANNON 57 ITK/60 “NIKOLAI” AND
FIRE CONTROL DEVICE RPK-1M1 “REPEKKA”
The Soviet 57 mm anti-aircraft cannon, model 1960, and its fire control device were part of the automatic weapon system that Finland acquired in the 1970s. The system comprised four cannons and a fire control unit. The equipment was introduced in 1975–1976. Training was provided in Hyrylä and Turku. These automatic anti-aircraft sections were decommissioned in 2000. The gun model was extremely widely exported around the world. It was originally based on a prototype weapon being developed by Nazi-Germany. The gun is still in service among many armies around the world, including Ukraine and Russia. Both have used the weapon in the war between the two countries between 2014 and today.
